Torrie

Practice Manager

Torrie Joined our team in 2019 as a Dental Assistant and has been an exceptional asset ever since. Torrie is drawn to the managerial side of dentistry and in December 2020 became our Practice Manager. Torrie has been working in dental since 2009 and has obtained her Certificate III in Dental Assisting from the ADA. As an avid animal lover, Torrie has 2 huskies and 2 guinea pigs. She also enjoys travelling – she has been to 15 countries and enjoys finding new breakfast spots on the weekends. She also likes to read and watch movies.

Rachael

Front Office Coordinator

Rachael joined Coorparoo Family Dental in mid 2020. Rachael has attained her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and has over 8 years experience in the dental industry ranging between private and public. Rachael is our Front Office Coordinator and enjoys being able to make your booking experience effortless. Rachael enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family and binge watching a good Netflix series.

Moira

Receptionist

Moira was originally a patient of Coorparoo Family Dental before beginning work at the practice as the receptionist in 1990. She has an uncanny memory for patients’ voices on the phone! Moira has two adult children and enjoys aqua aerobics, walking, going to the movies and spending time with her husband Malcolm.

Ashley

Senior Dental Assistant

Ashley joined the practice in 2016 and has since fallen in love with dentistry. As our senior dental assistant, Ashley enjoys ensuring the practice runs smoothly and our patients leave with a smile. Having already completed her Certificate III, she is currently studying her Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography) and is excited to further her career in dentistry. Ashley enjoys assisting with all aspects of dentistry, but particularly likes working with Children. Outside of work, She finds herself exploring new food spots and enjoying a good Netflix marathon. 

Rachel

Dental Assistant

Rachel joined the practice in November 2009 after having a year and a half break from Dental Assisting, Rachel continues to brighten the practice with her infectious personality. Previously she worked at the University of Queensland Dental School for 10 years where she oversaw the general dentistry clinic. She completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting in 2000. In her year and a half off, she worked in Central Queensland on a farm stay taking backpackers horse riding and on farm tours. Her interests include her two horses, two dogs, ménage of chickens, endurance horse-riding and slashing her 20acres.

Tyson

Dental Assistant

Tyson joined the practice in 2015. Since then, he’s been constantly keeping the team at Coorparoo Family Dental entertained with his eclectic taste in music. Originally from New Zealand, Tyson still supports the All Blacks “because they’re the best team in the world”. Tyson is currently studying Nursing at QUT and has completed a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. He enjoys playing drums, and playing pool with friends.

Lizz

Dental Assistant

Lizz joined Coorparoo Family Dental in 2016 when she moved to Queensland from Jervis Bay in New South Wales. Lizz has been working in the dental industry since 2009 and has completed a certificate III in Dental Assisting, she really enjoys taking care of our patients and is a dedicated part of our team. In her spare time, Lizz enjoys reading, baking, new experiences, and spending time with friends.

Jade

Dental Assistant

Having always had a very high interest in the dental industry, Jade joined our team in December 2018 and is thriving in her new role. Jade has a passion for learning all things dental and is quickly becoming an indispensable member of our team. Jade loves to make patients feel comfortable and to help them have the best experience possible. In her spare time Jade loves to cook and watch an unnecessary amount of reality TV.

Leah

Dental Assistant

Leah is one of our newest assistants and despite having two degrees in Biomedical Science and Medical Laboratory Science, Leah has already found she is very passionate about working in Dentistry. She finds that she is drawn to the interpersonal side of the field as interacting with people was something she was unable to do when working in labs. In Leah’s spare time she likes to eat Korean food (the spicier the better), hang out with her Husband Eli and take her van out for camping trips.

Will

Dental Assistant

Will has been working casually with our team since early 2020 and is hoping to further his career in dentistry in the future. Since Will started, he has been enjoying learning about all aspects of dentistry and brings a warm and caring approach to every appointment. Will is studying Biomedical Science and enjoys playing with his dogs- Sophie and Lucy, going to the beach, cooking and the occasional Netflix binge.

Maddy

Dental Assistant

Maddy recently joined our team mid 2021 with a year of experience and her Certificate III. She loves interacting with patients and building rapport. Maddy hopes to start a Certificate IV soon. Outside of work, Maddy enjoys getting crafty indoors with paints or her sewing machine. As well as getting out in nature, four-wheel-driving with her partner. She is our resident ‘Cat Lady’, with a fur baby at home

Zara

Junior Dental Assistant

Zara is our Junior dental assistant here at Coorparoo Family Dental. Outside of school, Zara enjoys learning about dentistry with us and is already a superstar member of our team. Zara also plays Soccer.

Andrea

Dental Assistant

Andie has been working as a casual with our team since 2019 and has since graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours, majoring in Infection and Immunity.  Andie is passionate about science and has been a knowledgeable Dental Assistant since 2010. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, food, and reading.

Zara

Junior Dental Assistant

Zara is our Junior dental assistant here at Coorparoo Family Dental. Outside of school, Zara enjoys learning about dentistry with us and is already a superstar member of our team. Zara also plays Soccer.
