As a new patient we need to get to know you and your medical and dental history so that we can gain a comprehensive understanding of your current and past oral health to provide you with the highest quality treatment. For this reason, we will request that you complete a New Patient Form. This can be done in just a few minutes at our practice, prior to your appointment.

Our commitment to comprehensive dental care is a great experience for new patients. It means that we don’t just tell you there is a problem. We explain what the problem is, how it came to be and how you can stop it happening again. We believe in giving all of our patient’s options, there is almost always more than one solution.

Unfortunately most dental disease is silent; people often aren’t aware they have a problem until it has become a big problem and started causing pain. This is why our main focus at Coorparoo Family Dental is prevention. We like to address the cause and prevent future dental disease rather than just fixing the problems of today.

By dealing with both short-term issues and making you aware of any long-term implications, we feel we are giving you the highest level of care.

The first appointment usually consists of a comprehensive examination and a professional scale and clean. If you need dental radiographs this will be discussed with you at your appointment. Please bring along any previous xrays that you have had recently. Private Health Funds typically cover 30-80% of the cost of an examination, clean and radiographs. If you do require any dental treatment, we provide a printed itemised outline of costs.
